$6 adv / $8 dos
Celebrate the LAST DAY OF CLASSES at UF and SF with some good time rock n roll covers!

100% of the money the bands earn will go to a law school organization to donate to the charitable cause of their choice. When you arrive at the door, you will be able to cast your ballot for whichever law school organization you think is most deserving of our bounty. The only condition is that the winning organization must use the money for a charity. Each organization that wishes to "compete" must have the charitable cause or organization picked out before the night of the event so that voters can make an informed decision. It can be a charitable cause that the organization itself oversees, or it can be donated to an outside group. Essentially, we don't want the money going towards a pizza party. But instead of us picking the charity, you get to!

Living Hip Hop Legend right here in Gainesville !

KRS, an acronym for ““Knowledge Reigning Supreme”, has been called the “conscience of Hip Hop” (Rolling Stone), “the greatest live emcee ever” (The Source), the “spokesperson for Hip Hop” (Wall Street Journal), “master teacher” (Zulu Nation) and the “son of Hip Hop” (Kool DJ Herc). With 20 published albums to his credit and his numerous appearances with other artists, KRS-One is believed to have written the most rhymes in Hip Hop’s history.

Every culture produces its own “keeper”. Every culture produces its own principles, its own history, its own advocates, and its own prophet pointing the way to a higher quality of life. For the urban-street culture known in the world today as “Hip Hop”, KRS-One is all of the above. Appearing on the rap scene in 1986 as Boogie Down Productions releasing his first hit single “South Bronx” with his late DJ Scott La Rock, KRS “the one” made it clear that Hip Hop was going to have to take itself a lot more seriously than simply being a music genre.

Roddy wrote numerous Specials classics such as "Concrete Jungle", "Hey Little Rich Girl", and "Rat Race", which helped to create the 2 Tone sound. Throughout his career, Cory Branan has been too punk for country, too country for punk, too Memphis for Nashville, and probably a little too Cory Branan for anyone’s damn good. He has proven himself as a top-notch songwriter (Chuck Ragan recently called him “the greatest songwriter of our generation”), fierce lyricist (in Lucero’s “Tears Don’t Matter Much” they sing that Cory has, “a way with words that’ll bring you to your knees”), and a hyperdynamic performer with the ability to fingerpick finer than ‘60s Greenwich Village folkies and brutally strum like a proto punk shredder.
